alex in outer space

astrology, or the relationship between celestial movements and earthly happenings.

astro details.
hi! my name is alex and i’m an astrologer whose practice is grounded in the traditional techniques of “western” astrology. these techniques first emerged in ancient mesopotamia and egypt and were later synthesized into what came to be known as hellenistic astrology.

these techniques include:
– the tropical zodiac
– whole sign houses
– ptolemaic aspects
– traditional planetary rulership
– evaluating planetary position and condition
– annual profections
– evaluating transits
– zodiacal releasing.

i don’t use:
– the sidereal zodiac
– quadrant-based houses
– modern aspects
– outer planet rulership
– the 12-letter alphabet system.

at this time, i offer natal readings and timing-based readings. your natal chart is a snapshot of the planetary positions in the sky at the time of your birth (think of it as your “default” or baseline astrological setting).

timing techniques such as the evaluation of transits, annual profections, and zodiacal releasing tell us how your chart is being activated during a given timeframe. these techniques may provide greater clarity and general insight into the “cosmic context” of a period of time.

session info:
– new client combination natal and timing readings are 90 minutes long
– common topics include: career, relationships, family dynamics, personal development
– timing techniques may include: transits, annual profections, zodiacal releasing.

– returning client readings are 60 minutes long and focused on timing or 20 minutes long and focused on a specific follow-up question
– all returning client readings must have received a natal or natal/timing reading from me first.

– birth time is required
– sessions are currently offered to clients 18+.

it’s my goal to provide high-quality astrological guidance that’s supportive and illuminating. 🙂

other important info.

other.
the rest of this website is dedicated to the poems i write in my free time and features a blog vaguely reminiscent of the days of yore, where one could post a heavily filtered photo of a friend’s cat with little ulterior motive beyond hoping someone replies with “haha cool cat.”
